New photo contest

After the success of our last Facebook photo contest, we are now running another photo contest. The theme for this contest is "beauty images." Contest entries may range from clean natural beauty images to wild editorial beauty shots. All entries must be taken by Drazen Imaging to qualify. Contest runs through July 31st and the winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Go to our Facebook page to enter.

 

Announcing our photo contest winners!

Our first Facebook photo contest came to a close this week. With over 3000 votes cast, the first place winner of a $50 Amazon gift card was Sierra Plume

and the second place winner of a $25 Amazon gift card was Erin Wang.

Congratulations to the winners and a huge thanks to everyone who participated and voted in the photo contest. We plan to run additional "themed" photo contests (such as senior portraits, beauty shots, trash the dress) in the upcoming months, and will announce those here when they available.

Soulard studio news

In my last post, I talked about a new studio space I found online, and I posted images from the listing. Since then, I have gone down and looked at the space twice. I am extremely excited about the possibilities it presents. It has an amazing 2nd floor shooting space with plenty of exposed brink and gorgeous windows with different colored window frames. After my visit yesterday with my real estate agent, we are cautiously moving forward, with the next step being looking at the options on my current lease. If everything goes well, it is possible, I could move towards the end of the summer. Check back here for more updates on this development!

Looking into new Soulard studio space

The one big drawback of my current studio is that it is not located in a very visible place. There is no street traffic, so I can't draw in clients unless they are already looking for me. Because of this, I have been looking for new studio spaces with a greater street visibility. Yesterday, I found an online listing for a studio space in the Soulard area. From the description and photos, it looks like an amazing space. With 5000 square feet, this will accommodate larger family portrait groups. And with an outdoor courtyard, this will provide many more senior portrait settings. Below are the listing photos, I will be touring the property next week to see if I want to negotiate a lease on it.

We are now starting to use Instagram as well. We are starting off by taking photos of possible locations that can be used at out Senior and Fashion shoots.
